Hello & Welcome to September News
Hello
Spring is here! I have another interesting newsletter for you this month.
Firstly, I want to send best wishes and love to all those affected in Christchurch after the Earthquake. My daughter Lauren is there and has been so very fortunate to have no damage but has said the novelty of the after shocks is starting to wear thin now.

Valuable Shopping Ideas
The four most important things to remember when you are shopping this Spring!
1. Personal Colouring - because you are all gorgeous.
2. Styles that suit your body shape - not all of us have a body like Elle Macpherson.
3. Dress to suit your personality (not your best friends)
4. Lifestyle - where do you spend most of your time?
Calculate the cost per wear for the item you want to purchase, then work out is this an item that I can accessorise? does it go with my wardrobe? and can I wear it to different functions in any season?

Book and website of the month!
The Gabriel Method - The Revolutionary Diet-Free Way to Lose Weight
This has been recommended by a client, Susanna Chelton - thanks! Don't tell anyone but the secret word to download the cd is "heart".
In addition to telling Jon's own story of his amazing transformation, the book reveals why diets don't work and explains a truly unique and revolutionary diet-free way to lose weight. It's based on the fact that your body has an internal logic that determines how fat or thin you will be at any given time. The way to lose weight is not to struggle or to force yourself to lose weight but to understand this internal logic and work with it so that your body wants to be thinner.
When your body wants to be thinner, weight loss is inevitable and becomes automatic and effortless. You simply crave less food, you crave healthier foods, your metabolism speeds up and you become very efficient at burning fat, just like a naturally thin person. And that's the real transformation - to transform yourself into a naturally thin person, so that you can eat whatever you want whenever you want and still be thin, fit and vibrantly healthy.
Health, fitness and lifestyle ideas for September
This months health tip - when you are at the supermarket and before you get to the checkout, take a look in your shopping basket to see what is in there that will deteriorate - that is fresh, canned and frozen food. Now check what is in there that could last in the pantry for years... this means the longer it can last the more processed the product is. A good example is pasta. Remember to eat what is in season when choosing your fresh items and this also helps you to get a varied diet.
Trish Buckmans recipe of the month - TRISH'S HOMEMADE MEUSLI

2 cups rolled oats, 1 cup rice flakes, 1/2 cup sesame seeds, 1/2 cup linseeds, 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds, 1/2 cup sunflower seeds, 1/2 coconut, 1/4 cup hazelnuts, 1/4 cup walnuts (all organic ingredients where possible)
OPTIONAL: add 1 cup of sultanas or dried fruit to use as a scrogen for snacks.
Spray with rice bran oil and place in oven, toss regularly until golden, remove a pour over 1 cup runny honey, stir until coated, cool and put in airtight container.
SERVE: Sprinkle* 3-4 tablespoons over yoghurt and fruit for a wheat free, high fibre breakfast with all the good healthy fats.
*warning: this tastes really good BUT it is also very high in fibre.
